LOSE WEIGHT THE RIGHT WAY

I know, there’s heaps of information out there about diet and nutrition, and things can get really confusing!

Almost daily, there’s a new miracle diet that claims to give you a world of promises. “No work required, instant results, glowing skin, shiny hair….”and just about anything else their marketing teams can think of, so that you part with your hard-earned money.

The truth is, there is NO magic bullet. Sure, there are protocols and supplements that can AID your journey, and make it enjoyable and sustainable, but at the end of the day, it does take work on your part to re-educate yourself and build new habits.

When I first started my health and weight-loss journey, I thought it meant I could never eat out or go to social gatherings, and that I was destined to eat a diet of only broccoli and chicken if I wanted to lose the extra pounds.

Thankfully, I discovered a nutritional system that I still use today, and recommend to all of my clients. The days of social anxiety around food and eating boring meals are over for me. I have learned that you don’t need to feel deprived to lose weight. You just have to have the right tools at your disposal to help you achieve the results you are after. Let me share what I learned.

Getting smart about your nutrition

Tackling your nutrition in a way that leaves you feeling satisfied, energised and happy, is essential if you plan on sticking to a plan for longer than a few weeks. My nutritional approach makes room for all the good stuff without compromising on quality or taste.

Let’s discuss the basics: There are 3 macronutrients that our bodies need in order to function normally. These are Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats. When it comes to fat-loss and fitness, the most important macronutrient is Protein.

Our bodies are constantly breaking down and rebuilding, especially those who lead active lifestyles. Consuming enough protein is essential in order to manage your hunger levels and maintain healthy muscles. When trying to lose weight, I turn to protein supplements to help me reach my protein targets and keep my appetite in check.

The IsaLean Shake, contains 24 grams of high-quality protein from grass-fed cattle in each serving. When you’re on the go and don’t have time to cook a meal, this shake range is the ultimate solution.  Each serving also packs in 8 grams of fibre, digestive enzymes, balanced carbohydrates and fats, and a full range of vitamins and minerals.

It’s not just a milkshake, it’s a complete meal replacement!

Another convenient way to get protein on the go, is through the delicious IsaLean Bars. Each protein bar contains 18 grams of high-quality whey and milk protein from grass-fed cows, as well as a balanced carbohydrate, fat and fibre. They contain no artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners but they feel like a decadent treat.

Cleansing

Those who know me well, know I love a good cleanse day. I do it differently from most however, because I don’t just intermittent fast or skip meals. I allocate a day per week to cleanse and I use Nourish for Life, which takes my cleanse days to the next level. Thanks to its synergistic blend of herbs and botanicals, it helps give me all the energy I need to see my cleanse day through. It also supports my body’s detoxification process. The blend of nourishing B vitamins, biologically active botanicals and functional flavours help support the bodies detoxification system.

My advice is to drink this product throughout your cleanse day to maintain energy and focus.

Stress

It’s not just our calorie and protein intake that needs to be managed if we want to have an effective weight-loss plan. Our stress levels contribute a great deal to our success and affect our mood and concentration levels, which can make it difficult to maintain healthy routines and balanced nutrition. When I’m feeling stressed, I turn to Ionix Supreme. This product contains herbal ingredients, such as Wolfberry, Acanthopanax, Rhodiola, Ashwagandha and Schisandra, which all help the body to deal with stress more effectively.

Sleep

Most people know that sleep plays a major role in our lives. Not only does it affect how we process information, it also affects our appetite and our performance in the gym. Creating good habits around sleep will help you in every area of your wellness journey. If you struggle to get a good nights’ sleep, try avoid caffeine after 3pm, establish a routine by going to bed and waking up at the same time each day, and avoid your phone once you’re in bed. Try reading a book to help you wind down instead.

Energy

When people are embarking on a weight-loss journey, they can sometimes feel sluggish and tired. Thermo GX is what I use to combat any feelings of lethargy due to the detoxification process, just being in a calorie deficit or the effects of malabsorption. This product uses natural ingredients like Niacin and Chromium which are known to support metabolism, along with a blend of other ingredients such as green tea extract, apple cider vinegar, cayenne and cocoa seed.

Once you have ensured that your metabolism is working optimally, the body is able to break down food for energy and nutrients to use without the use of artificial stimulants.

Exercise

Everyone who knows me knows how much I enjoy moving my body. I love how I feel during, and especially after a great workout, no matter what type of exercise it is. I offer so many different types of training, and I work to accommodate all my clients, no matter where they are starting from. I can coach you through high intensity workouts, fight style training, low impact workouts and even game style training. Online training is also available and has been hugely popular during the last few difficult months. Exercise doesn’t just make me happy – it makes everyone happy because it can help you to produce more serotonin and to release endorphins. Basically, it’s a natural happiness charm! Even a 20-minute workout can help boost your mood!

No nutritional system is worth anything if it’s difficult to maintain. If you are looking for a framework to help you create lasting lifestyle changes so you can be healthy for life, my approach is just what you need.

It's not a diet, or a weight loss plan on its own. It's a scientifically based, full nutritional system and it’s your key to energy, vitality and a renewed lust for life.
